We cherish all of our guests and strive to help you feel comfortable about leaving them in our care. We do our best to ensure that our guests are clean and comfortable and their visit with us as stress-free as possible.
To that end, we have policies that are in the best interest of all our guests. We thank you for your cooperation in observing our guidelines.
We require that all dogs come to the kennel already having had three vaccinations: Bordetella (also called "canine cough"), Distemper, and Rabies. All Bordetella vaccines must be given at least 7 days prior to coming into kennel. For cats we require Distemper and Rabies. Please have your vet fax the records to us ahead of time to 906.346.3624
72 Hour Cancellation
We will need 72 hour notice for cancellations of reservations. Any cancellation less than that and you will be charged $30.00 per pet for regular boarding and 50.00 per cottage. If you reserve a spot and return early, you will be required to pay for the 72 hours. Please inform us as early as possible of any changes in your plans on dropping or picking up your pet.
All medical emergencies will be handled through Gwinn-Sawyer Veterinary Clinic, unless other arrangements are made.
Lost or Damaged Equipment
You may bring a blanket or toy with your pet, however, The Animal Inn is not responsible for loss or damage of equipment.
Please bring your own pet food so that your companion can stay on his or her own regular diet. This helps ensure that your companion's digestive system will not become upset. If you bring your pets food in another container please have the brand of food marked in case we need to pick up more food or if there are any recalls.
Fleas & Ticks
Any animal found with fleas or ticks will be treated and its owners will be charged for this service.
Please honor our operating hours. If we open our boarding facility in the middle of the night to accommodate an unscheduled pick-up, all our guests are disturbed and distressed. We understand that you want to be reunited with your companions as soon as possible, but to be fair to all of our guests, we cannot allow after hours pick-ups or drop-offs.
Please note our hours are:
9AM-1:00PM and 5PM-7PM Monday –Friday
Saturday 9AM-11:00AM and 5:00PM -7:00PM
Select kennel stay or cottage stay. We will need 72 hour notice for cancellations of reservations. Any cancellation less than that and you will be charged $30.00 per pet for regular kennel boarding and 50.00 for cottage boarding.
If you reserve a spot and come back early, you will be required to pay for the 72 hour time if we can't fill your spot.
